Talia has a busy employment law and commercial litigation practice.  She frequently appears in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal, County Court and High Court. 

Talia acts for multinational corporations in the financial, insurance, technology, media, construction, retail and transportation sectors.  Talia also represents trade unions and public sector clients including universities, NHS Trusts, local authorities and the Metropolitan Police Service.  She was appointed a Member of the Panel of Counsel for the Commission of Equality & Human Rights in January 2011.

Talia has been named as a leading junior in the forthcoming 2015 edition of the Chambers UK Bar Directory in the field of employment.

    Talia has extensive experience in employment law, including all areas of discrimination law, whistleblowing, unfair dismissal, redundancy, equal pay, breach of contract, bullying and harassment, TUPE, Working Time Regulations, restrictive covenants and jurisdictional issues.  She has particular expertise in complex disability discrimination claims and high-value sex discrimination claims.

    Talia acts for multinational corporations in the financial, technology, construction, retail and transportation sectors, public sector clients including NHS Trusts and the Metropolitan Police Service as well as trade unions.  Talia also acts for claimants, particularly senior executives.  She represented the claimant in the high-profile discrimination case, Switalski v F & C Asset Management, led by Suzanne McKie QC. 

    Talia advises clients in relation to all areas of employment law. Recent advisory work includes advice on restrictive covenants and confidentiality, managing long term sickness absence and redundancy procedures.

    Talia frequently appears in the Employment Tribunal, the EAT and the High Court. She was appointed a Member of the Panel of Counsel for the Commission of Equality & Human Rights in January 2011.

    Talia has experience in a range of commercial matters, particularly professional negligence, insurance and reinsurance, commercial contractual disputes and jurisdiction.  She has experience in fast track and multi-track commercial cases in the County Courts and High Court. 

    Talia has a burgeoning professional negligence practice.  She has recently advised and drafted pleadings in a number of professional negligence claims against solicitors, financial advisors, surveyors, architects and engineers. She acts for both claimants and defendants.

    Talia is keen to develop further her insurance and reinsurance practice.  She has recently worked alongside Andrew Burns in a high value insurance claim brought under an Employers’ Liability Policy.

    Recent cases include:

    • acting for the claimant in a claim brought against financial advisors and solicitors arising out of the removal of funds from the Court of Protection and their subsequent investment, approximate value £1.5 million (with Ben Lynch)
    • advised a policyholder on coverage under a motorcylce insurance policy
    • drafted pleadings for the claimant in a claim under Director's Liability insurance involving issues of non-disclosure
    • successfully represented the defendant in an application for security for costs
    • successfully represented the claimant in an application for a springboard injunction in the High Court
    • advised the claimant and drafted pleadings for a claim issued in the High Court for breach of restrictive covenants
