The management of Chambers is led by our Chambers Director, Vince Plant. Our Business Services' staff work closely with members of Chambers and clerks to provide a first class client experience. Together they take responsibility for the financial, marketing, facilities and administrative aspects of our business.

Vince Plant

Vince was appointed as Chambers Director in October 2013 having joined Devereux as Head of Clerking Services in 2010. With over 25 years of experience at the Bar, including Fountain Court Chambers, he cultivated an extensive network of contacts, in-depth market knowledge and understanding of the market on which both our clients and members can draw.

Vince has overall responsibility for the management of chambers, playing a crucial role in the development of individual practices, practice groups and chambers as a whole but also in offering tailored solutions to address our clients’ needs.

He is a member of the IBC and LPMA.

Outside of work, Vince is a keen photographer, enjoys watching Harlequins and AFC Wimbledon and relishes going on roller-coasters with his 5-year-old.

Mark Noble

Mark joined Devereux with over 10 years’ experience working for international law firms. He was the Practice Manager at Rouse, Manager of Administration at Mintz Levin and Office Manager at Brown Rudnick. Prior to this Mark worked in the insurance and reinsurance industry in London and spent time working in the US and Germany.

He enjoys overseas travel, dining out and cooking.

Silvia Van den Bruel

Silvia has over 20 years of experience in brand management, client care, marketing and business development, demonstrating a successful track record at both financial institutions and other leading commercial sets at the Bar. While at global private equity firm, Advent International, she was responsible for implementing its communication strategy within 10 European markets and delivering marketing plans for Advent’s key sectors of expertise. During her time at Monckton Chambers, when marketing at the Bar was in its pioneering stage, and more recently at 11 Stone Buildings, both sets were up for multiple marketing and/or business development awards. 

At Devereux she assists with both the development and execution of marketing strategies for chambers as a whole and practice groups in particular. She also continuously looks for ways to further improve our service offering towards our clients.

Anh Doan

Anh gained a degree from Winchester School of Art and worked at Harley Street before joining Devereux chambers in 2008. She has over ten years of client care and front of house experience. She heads up our reception team and together with Lorna makes sure that our visitors receive a warm welcome.

Anh enjoys contemporary art, playing golf and volunteers as a mental health counsellor at a charity.

April has many years of legal secretarial experience starting her career as a conveyancing secretary, becoming receptionist/typist for 199 Strand Chambers and then joining Devereux in 2006.

She offers a wide range of administrative support to our members. She enjoys the challenges that are presented at Devereux, is a team player and loves the people she works with!

April enjoys spending time with her family and likes ‘retail therapy’.

Doreen Corburn

Doreen has over 20 years’ of finance experience spanning both the legal and accounting sectors. Most recently this has included 7 years at Denton and 2 years at Kennedy’s Solicitors. 

Doreen enjoys yoga and detective novels.

Wing Lau

Wing joined Chambers in June 2014. Having graduated in 2009 in Business Studies with Marketing from Canterbury Christ Church University, she worked for the family business before going on to work at Farrer & Co in the reprographics department.

She assists the marketing team with all aspects of events and offers research and administrative support in the framework of Chambers' business development activities.

Wing enjoys travelling, retail therapy and spending time with friends and family.

Lorna Claridge

After Lorna obtained her BSc (Hons) Criminology in 2012, she gained excellent customer care skills in a retail environment. She joined Devereux in April 2015. Together with Anh she is often the first point of contact for our clients and visitors and makes sure their visit to Devereux is a smooth one.

Lorna enjoys reading, listening to music and walking her dog.
