Arbitration and Mediation
Domestic and International Arbitration
We have extensive arbitration experience including domestic, foreign and international arbitrations. We are frequently involved in arbitrations across a range of areas including insurance and reinsurance, commercial contracts (including technology and construction disputes), telecommunications (including appeals from foreign regulators), employment (including ACAS Panel), professional negligence and high-profile sports disputes. Sometimes the arbitrations are conducted under the auspices of bodies such as the ICC and the LCIA; others are ad hoc.
Members of Chambers also undertake litigation in relation to arbitrations in a wide range of situations, from court intervention in the appointment of arbitrators to appeals from and enforcement of arbitral awards. Senior Members of Chambers have experience chairing and acting as members of arbitration panels and are available to sit in all types of arbitration.
Mediation
We recognise that the interests of our clients are often better served by pursuing alternatives to litigation. Members of Chambers are active participants in the mediation process, whether as advisors, representatives or mediators. Members of Chambers have experience of all other types of ADR including binding and non-binding Neutral Evaluation.
