Defamation

Chambers has a small but experienced team of defamation practitioners at a range of levels of call. The team includes both current and former members of the libel-reading panel for the Observer newspaper.

Members of the team have also libel-read magazines and non-fiction publications.

The team can provide a comprehensive range of advisory and litigation services on behalf of both claimants and defendants. Members of the team are proficient at providing swift and practical advice both on the telephone and in writing.

Many members of Chambers, both from within and outside the defamation team, have extensive experience of defending and prosecuting injunctive proceedings. This is, frequently, a key element of defamation cases.
