Recruitment
Pupillage
Pupillage and pupillage awards
Chambers places a very high importance on its top quality training of pupils and seeks to prepare pupils for tenancy and a busy practice as a successful junior at one is recognised as a leading set. To find out more about a pupillage at Devereux Chambers download our pupillage brochure.
Mini-pupillages and Open Day
Mini-pupillages and attendance at our open day are not a pre-requisite for pupillage, nor are they formally assessed. Indeed the demand for mini-pupillages and places at our open day is so great that we can only accommodate a small proportion of those wishing to apply for pupillage. However, we do encourage those who are intending to apply to Devereux Chambers for a pupillage to do a mini-pupillage or attend our open day, primarily as a means of enabling prospective pupils to get a feel for the work and atmosphere of Chambers. Devereux Chambers will only consider applications for mini-pupillage and the student open day made on the designated application form.
Completed forms should be returned by email to pupillage@devchambers.co.uk
Due to the high volume of applications, candidates are requested to select only one of the mini-pupillage seasons or the student open day in their application. School pupils are not eligible for mini-pupillages or the student open day and priority will be given to students who have at least reached the 2nd year of their law degree or have confirmed places on a law conversion course. Applications must be received by the designated dates, after which time candidates will be informed in writing of the outcome of their application.
