Throughout the next 12 months, Georgia and Ticiana will gain extensive experience across Chambers’ broad range of practice areas including tax, employment, personal injury, and commercial litigation.
Georgia graduated from the University of Oxford with First Class Honours in History, before obtaining Distinctions in the Graduate Diploma in Law and Bar Vocational Studies, as a Lord Bowen and Lord Denning Scholar of Lincoln's Inn. She was previously an assistant to a barrister at Doughty Street Chambers, where she worked on libel and judicial review claims. Additionally, Georgia was a pro bono advocate for the Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers Union in the Employment Tribunal, and a legal advocate in the First-tier Tribunal. Prior to coming to the Bar, Georgia also worked as a paralegal in-house at major record label Warner Music UK.
Ticiana read History and Politics at the University of Oxford, Lincoln College, and completed a LLM in Public Law and Democracy at Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas, for which she was awarded an Entente Cordiale Scholarship by the French Embassy in the UK. Prior to joining Devereux, Ticiana gained substantial experience in politics working for Jeremy Hunt while he was Chancellor of the Exchequer. She also worked in a think tank as a Policy Researcher. When completing her law conversion, Ticiana gained advocacy experience through mooting, and participation in The School Exclusion Project.
All at Devereux warmly welcome both Georgia and Ticiana, and wish them the best of luck throughout their pupillage.
