Suspicious and Fraudulent Email Warning

It has come to our attention that a number of bogus e-mails are being received by people in various parts of the world claiming to be from Devereux or individuals from Devereux. The e-mails often advise the recipient that they are a beneficiary of a will, involving a large sum of money. The sender then requests personal information and an administration fee to execute the will.

These e-mails are bogus and do not originate from Devereux or any of its Members whose names are being used fraudulently and illegally. We have reported these incidents to the Metropolitan Police. Should you be a recipient of such an e-mail we strongly recommend that you ignore it.

Should you be in any doubt about the authenticity of an e-mail which you have received from someone claiming to be from Devereux, please e-mail us at clerks@devchambers.co.uk
