Following a hearing before Mr Justice Pepperall on Friday, 13 February 2026, Bruce Carr KC and Anna Greenley have obtained a High Court interim injunction on behalf of Birmingham City Council to restrain Persons Unknown from blocking the passage of refuse collection vehicles leaving waste depots in Birmingham. 

The order, granted for a period of three months, follows an injunction granted by Mrs Justice Dias against Unite the Union on 23 May 2025, after which unidentified individuals have been replicating their actions and preventing the collection of waste for the residents and businesses of Birmingham.
