Prior to joining Devereux, Claire was a member of Matrix Chambers for 18 years, being appointed to King's Counsel in 2023. She is a leading silk specialising in employment law and discrimination law, with additional expertise in pensions, education law, judicial review and multi-party/group litigation, and is widely regarded for her exceptional advocacy skills.

Claire has consistently been recognised as a leading barrister by the independent legal directories, The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners. She is ranked in their latest editions as a leading barrister in Employment Law, Education Law, Pensions Law and Industrial Relations, and has received numerous award nominations in recent years, including both 'Employment Junior of the Year', and 'Employment Silk of the Year'.
