The Lawyer features Jolyon Maugham QC as one of their “Hot 100 2016”
As one of only ten barristers, Jolyon Maugham QC has been named in this year’s ‘Hot 100’, selected by The Lawyer to highlight the best lawyers in the business.
They state that for a tax barrister Jolyon has an unusually high profile and quote that the success of his blog, aimed at better informing the public about tax and creating a “more nuanced debate”, has made him the go-to commentator on tax issues.
Besides his impressive case list - with major disputes progressing through the courts last as well as in the coming year - and having taken silk early 2015, he also drives the political debate as he continues to advise both the Conservative and Labour parties on tax issues.
