Emily completed her undergraduate degree in History and Spanish at the University of Michigan, USA, where she graduated with honours in the top 7% of her class. She then went on to complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Law and Bar Vocational Studies courses at City University in London.
Prior to commencing pupillage at Devereux, Emily gained extensive experience in employment law working as a paralegal at the international law firm Littler, and most recently, as a Caseworker at the Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers Union (CAIWU), where she successfully represented union members in the Employment Tribunal.
In addition, Emily gained advocacy experience with Quest Legal Advocates, representing clients in the County Court, as well with the School Exclusion Project, where she had a 100% success rate of overturning school decisions to exclude pupils on appeal.
