News & Resources

We are delighted to announce that Emily Bacon & Rob Schultz will commence their tenancy at Devereux Chambers in October, following the successful completion of their pupillage.

Emily completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, where she graduated with honours, before completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Law and Bar Vocational Studies at City University, London. Prior to pupillage, Emily worked as a paralegal at the international law firm Littler, and most recently as a Caseworker at the Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers Union (CAIWU). In addition, Emily gained advocacy experience with Quest Legal Advocates, representing clients in the County Court.

Rob transferred to the bar having been a Senior Associate at an international law firm, following completion of an LLM in The United States in 2020 as a Fulbright Scholar. He began his litigation career as a Barrister and Solicitor at Lee Salmon Long, a Legal 500 Band 1 firm in New Zealand (2015-2019), where he acted as sole and junior counsel before the New Zealand courts and in commercial arbitrations.

Since commencing pupillage at Devereux, Emily and Rob have built experience across Chambers’ broad range of practice areas including tax, employment, personal injury, and commercial litigation, and will accept instructions in all of Chambers' core areas.

All at Devereux warmly welcome Emily and Rob, and wish them the best of luck throughout their tenancy.
