HOW WE WORK
Devereux barristers are experienced at working in teams. Not only can they work with professional clients as part of a specialist litigation team, they may work as part of a team with more senior or junior members of Chambers to provide advice and advocacy. Our clerks can provide advice on assembling an appropriate team of barristers.
Our barristers are perceptive, responsive and easy to deal with and have the support of a professional business services team. We maintain a strong focus on quality control, effective communication and take a partnership approach to working with clients and their professional advisers. We take pride in providing excellent client service.
In the Chambers UK 2014 directory, Devereux is commended for the provision of quality Client Service - "The clerking team is one of its strengths; the clerks make a real effort to get to know you and go out of their way to assist."
We asked clients, members and staff what we are like “at our best” and the results revealed four key attributes which are reflected in our work:
We are focused on what really matters
We demonstrate our commitment by taking the time to understand clients’ goals. We are well prepared, disciplined and in control. Considered, driven and passionate about what we do, we care about outcomes.
We are commercially astute

We possess excellence in depth
Devereux barristers are skilled, resourceful and effective advocates who are intellectually astute and who provide advice and representation which is clear, precise and of the highest technical quality.
