Members of Chambers regularly advise and appear in cases involving human rights issues, both within our main practice areas and as a separate area of expertise. We act for a wide range of clients, both claimants and defendants, from multinational corporations, UK and foreign governments to charities and high-profile individuals in commercially and politically sensitive cases. Our claimant clients come from every walk of life. They all deserve and receive the highest quality representation and an attentive service.
Several of the members who practice in this area have extensive experience of judicial review, acting principally for public bodies, as well as cases before the European Court of Human Rights. Furthermore our clinical negligence, personal injury, employment and education work frequently yield significant human rights issues on behalf of claimants.
Members of Chambers are appointed to the Equality and Human Rights Commission's preferred panel for counsel. In addition certain members have previously been long standing counsel to the Equal Opportunities Commission, Commission for Racial Equality and Disability Rights Commission.
